16 lbs = $145,280? I don’t think so. The popo always exaggerate the value of their busts to toot their own horns. Let’s break it down by what we pay. Anyone who has different numbers than mine can feel free to comment.
OK, so I buy my weed usually in half ounce bags. On a good day, a half ounce costs about $80. - Now this is premo BC hydro I’m talking about here, not some lousy too-dry Mexican crap - with 1 pound being equal to 16 ounces, thats $80×32= $2560 for a pound. $2560×16lbs = $40,960.
Where did the police get their numbers? Probably from breaking the weight into grams and assuming these guys were going to sell 16 lbs ONE gram at a time!?! Even at the ridiculous price of $10/gram, that’s only 72,640 dollars. (half of what the police are claiming is the value of the bust.)
Does anyone out there pay $20/gram??? If you do, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
