I disagree that the Chinese deserved to win. Had the Chinese not stacked the deck it’s unlikely that they would have put forth the same performance. The Chinese generated an exceptional performance, but like hitting a home-run with an illegal bat in softball, that exceptional performance was generated through prohibited means. The performance that the U.S. team presented was superior to that of every country participating other than China. The unfortunate thing about this situation is that there is no way to know what would have happened in honorable competition.
