A symbol of wealth and feminism, are you serious? Women were nothing back in those times…they had no status or wealth, they were used as vessels. Nothing different than today within China etc as women are still seen as “little happiness” and thus why so many are factory workers currently as families are quick to send them away. They were only a status of wealth for the male along with his other concubines and unichs. China’s population will soon cave due to their “weening” the the female populace, it is only a matter of time.
