@Absurd: I agree but remember that law, like any man made construct, is faulty. On one side, you have lawyers who (similar to programmers) leave “bugs” in the law that can and are exploited. Furthermore you have lawyers that are like malware writers who write laws to protect their interests which is usually at the expense of consumers. On top of all that you have regular people who only want to know enough of the law to get by and don’t want to read a 1000 page manual on when its legal to cross the street, therefore promoting the creation of magic numbers like “3000 songs” and “18 years of age.”

Law dealing in absolutes is very irritating but unless you have a better idea than you really can’t complain about it.
