Actualy Fed would be the world #2 regardless of Nadal winning, were it not for the tennis schedule being pushed back due to the Olympics. Since the tournament is early, Federer wont lose the points he gained from last year for another few weeks.
If the tournament was on schedule, Nadal would overtake Federer no matter what, because Fed lost 425 points b/c of his loss, and Nadal has already gained points.
In my head, Federer is already overtaken.
But I think he will take it back soon next year at the Australian.
