Agrarian society is much healthier then turn of the century industrialization. But a lot of civil engineering that almost doubled human lifespans occurred in that era as well. So this idolization of the agrarian lifestyle might be a bit too much. The rampant exploitation of humanity by the economic elite was really bad during industrialization but the rampant exploitation of humanity in agrarian societies isn’t addressed as often. Being a Serf sucked just as much as being an exploited sweat shop worker.
