Ah, stealthc - there we have forminiferans (perfect fossil record of almost an entire phylum of life down to common ancestors), a flavor of Ecoli, and nylon eating bacteria, all reproducable in a lab. Nevermind the different strains of antibiotic resistant bacteria which get classified as new species.

The problem is that the creationists don’t want to define “type”, so they can keep saying this “type” nonsense, and when we come up with examples, they can move the goalposts back, saying it isn’t enough, and they’ll never give an acceptable measure because to them, no measure is acceptable. It’s part of their cognative defense mechanism - by not allowing proof to be definable, they allow their cognative bypass (i.e. disbelief in facts in the face of pre-concieved belief in mythology) to continue to operate. It’s a feelgood measure which in the end is intellectual cowardice.
