Take the machine to an Apple store within the 1 year, or for Dell pay a higher than normal call rate to talk to them over the phone. Apple wins there, Asus/HP/Acer don’t have retail stores specifically for their products so you have to take it to generic repair guys.

Dell is default 1-year Return To Base, so are others probably. Apple you can go to an Apple store.

Nothing else (computers or otherwise) includes free accidental damage cover, so what.

You can WALK into a store and have somebody look at your hardware for free, you also book one-on-one sessions on using your machine/software to its full potential. In stores Apple will help you transfer and migrate your existing data from whatever type of machine you have onto your shiny new Mac. Apple let you talk “FACE-TO-FACE” with REAL people, don’t under-estimate the value of that alone.

Well, “server stuff” will mean enterprise and you’ll be being stiffed more cash for the hardware, even from Dell.
