Authority? We’re talking about G.W.’s Navy here. If they want to incarcerate the pirates in Cuba and waterboard them with jumper cables clamped on their gonads, I don’t think “authority” is what’s holding them back. Especially now that the pirates have been labelled as Al Qaeda associates in the media.

(”Crazy political problems?” Gee, Somalia might recall its ambassador and send a strongly-worded letter of protest, or more likely, an offer to transfer $300 million on behalf of the families of the dead pirates.)

Sorry, but taking out these “pirates” would be an enjoyable exercise for a few SEALs on a long lunch break. I’m really surprised that doesn’t happen.
