Critical thinking demolishes ID. They aren’t going for critical thinking, they’re going for blind belief. ID claims that the mountains of evidence, which goes far beyond just biological evolution, are completely false without a single shred of evidence to prove it is false. If you deny evolution is real, then you have to deny that geology isn’t real, because the fossil record has been a big part in proving the theory of evolution, along with several other major fields of science.

Critical thinking is when you look at the evidence and go, well, ok, this makes sense, but there’s a hole in the theory here, why is that, what process is able to explain that hole in the theory. Then when a process is shown to fill that hole in the theory, the theory is updated, creating a better theory. There are no leaps of logic in science, it’s all based on verifiable proof and allows for the theory to be changed when new evidence shows that the old theory isn’t complete.
