Dammit I wish people could realize how simple a solution this is!!! You nailed it! The whole problem is the state attached the name of what is recognized by most people as a religious institution (marriage), to a civil matter. Remove the “religulousness” of it and just make it civil. This seems to be the most logical way to solve the issue. Then you can call it whatever the hell you want to at your home or at your church. Why can’t the morons in office see this? Sometimes I feel that humans are just too insanely stupid to not see such simple solutions to these so called “huge issues”. Of course know how people would react to this proposition as well…
