Did you figure out the problem?

Some things to check for:

Is the battery connected?
Are you sure its the battery that is the problem? It may be something else.

If you have to change the battery, follow these steps.

To remove a battery

1. Make sure your motorcycle is on level ground and place it on it’s center stand.
2. Switch off the ignition
3. Remove the front seat

Disconnection in the wrong sequence increases the risk of short circuits. Always proceed in the correct sequence.

1. Disconnect negative battery lead first.
2. Then pull back the protective cap and disconnect the positive lead.
3. Remove screw, disengage the retaining strap at the bottom and remove.
4. Life the battery up and out; work it slightly back and forth if it is difficult to remove.

To install a Battery

1. Place the battery in the battery compartment, positive terminal on the right in the forward direction of travel.
2. Engage the retainer at the bottom, push it over the battery and install screw.

Installation in the wrong sequence increases the risk of short-circuits. Always proceed in the correct sequence. Never install the battery without the protective cap.

1. Connect the battery positive lead first.
2. Fit the protective cap to the positive terminal of the battery.
3. Then connect the battery’s negative lead.

If the battery was disconnected from the motorcycle for a prolonged period of time it will be necessary to enter the current date in the insturment panel, in order to ensure that the service-due indicator functions correctly.

Install the front seat and set the clock.
