Disconnecting is highly recommended, you’ll be surprised how therapeutic it is.

I loitered in Chevelon Canyon, AZ in July for 14 days with no schedule or agenda. Hiked some game trails, watched some sunsets from high perches, read a couple books, evaded pursuit by a bull elk. Was a little boring at times, but it was very cheap and extremely invigorating being unconnected. I had to hike 1.6 miles(one way) to get phone reception to get messages and check-in every couple days, hiked 8 miles of Forest Roads to find someone to give my truck a jump-start(water cooler leaked 5 of 8 gallons the 1st night out, had to restock) and sleeping under the stars staring at the Milky Way was priceless.
