Do you have any idea how long it takes to get a visa or a green card? I’m a 16 year old Canuck, and it took me a year to get my green card after living in the US legally for 12 years. I consider myself lucky; I’d say part of the speedy process was the fact that all my immediate family has lived here for 12 years, and my dad works in a semi-federal job. It was also incredibly expensive.
I do agree that we need to fix the immigration problem. But we have to fix it by making the process much faster and accessible. I’d say it’s a good thing that people want to come work here, obviously Mexico isn’t putting out in terms of jobs.
