Dude, Sony doesn’t and shouldn’t care how much money they are losing at the current time. This system is going to be around for at least 10 years! don’t you think that will give them more than enough time to make up the difference and more? I think so. Afterall, Sony themselves are rolling out a ton of games per first party. All that money goes to them.
Lets also keep in mind that they intend to build an environment around the playstation network, expanding from one room to the other until some people’s houses would be totally immersed with their PS3(this is for the hardcore fanboys of course).

Lets not forget the playstation store! thousands of transactions a day and that keeps increasing with more consumers buying their product.
