@Duffy - “when people are talking in generalities there are bound to be exceptions”

I went to a large, well known school and all undergrad BS degrees had to complete at least 3 credits of extensive technical writing. My particular engineering field had to also do a major-specific, formal report based lab and 6 credits of senior design/thesis. I assumed this was about the norm for most BS degrees from my experience and the experiences I’ve heard from many of my friends in similar fields at many different schools.

But, I guess we’re just the “exception” and your unique experiences have become generalities.
