He doesn’t need to sue, but he does need to respond if he’s going to salvage his political career. Right now, he’s completely ducking the story. Meanwhile, more evidence keeps coming out.

Reportedly, this story has already knocked Edwards off of the list of potential VP choices.

If he wasn’t there, then where was he? A guy as rich as he is would no doubt have a pocketful of receipts that could pin him down to a city at least. And eyewitnesses, too. I doubt Edwards moves around much without people recognizing him.
