I am glad you don’t call it stealing. Honestly, I think a good way to get to the piraters is to make them realize that they aren’t paying for present products, but rather for future products.

To be fair though, I’m even more cynical than blitz here, I stopped buying games entirely, I don’t even bother to try them. I buy from valve when they make deals I can’t pass up (orange box? How could I not?), and I seem to always buy blizzard’s latest, but my cynicism doesn’t even have me second guessing my decisions to completely ignore hyped games like crysis. I played COD4 the other day, it seemed pretty good, and if I had the money I might consider buying it, but if I hadn’t tried it from pure accident I wouldn’t have even considered trying it.

Some of those pirates who “try before buy” actually help the game industry more than cynical me (if they truly do buy the good games they find), who doesn’t even bother to find the good games anymore.
