Huh?

The fact that the members of 4chan now believe that is mainstream would probably lead to an exodus. They would found a new underground and spawn whatever it is you wanna call it that they spawn. What would be left would become that which this new community would ideally rebel against.

This happens all the time and everytime it happens “cool” mutates into something darker or stranger.

Mainstream would imply that normal people would visit the site and find an interest in the thoughts and images being expressed there. Personally I can only stand visiting that site after hours of drinking.

I think 4chan has to become a lot cleaner and nicer before we can consider it mainstream.
