I´m guessing that after doing that high-G pullout and those barrel rolls something went wrong with the fuel-injection which caused the plane to lose all power (you can clearly see the steep angle of attack of the plane just before it blows up). The operator propably noticed the lack of thrust after leveling out and tried to restart the engine which resulted in an explosion. For the fuel to light up and produce thrust the mixture in the combustion chamber must be just right- otherwise it might result in an flameout or an catastrophic engine failure (as in this case). The controller propably had the throttle set to max when igniting. =)
