I admit that I’m using the submission as an excuse to rant about something that bothers me…. but the city I live in has a ban on pit bulls. A few years ago an ordinance was passed banning them. Existing owners were forced to register their dogs or turn them over to authorities if they missed the deadline. All non-registered pit bulls from that time forward are prohibited. I understand the controversy regarding the breed, but even this dog is a friend to man. I know several people who own them and theirs are among the friendliest animals I’ve ever met. A quick search on Google turns up several examples of the heroic deeds of Pit Bulls.
