I am going to say it
I am going to say it. Considering the mounds of political rhetoric, that has been thrust upon us this year, during the current presidential election season. Where hundred of millions of dollars have and are being are spent to support the political aspirations of those, who are already elected to the congress, either the house of representatives or the senate and claim to have the solutions to the country’s biggest problems, if elected president; rather than taking the summer off, to do more of the same. I say get your over paid and under worked caucuses back to Washington, and work together with the current president to create some legislation; NOW to fix the problems that need to be fixed NOW.
These problems, include issues, such as legislative support for non counter productive alternative energy and transportation fuel programs, to replace oil or deal with the mortgage crisis, which was probably; at least in part, created by previous legislation efforts by the members of congress and or poor over sight by the respective legislative committees, that are supposed to make sure, that these types of situations do not occur.
To me, this would a be more effective measure of who should be president, because sometimes I feel the true message of projects; such as SETI@home, is that we elect individuals to political office to work for us, not for themselves. Sometimes a lot of people get the feeling, that if we can’t find the answers here; maybe someone else, not remotely connected to us, will come to ours rescue. The problem with that type of thinking is the only ones capable of fixing our problems is us, the citizens of the United States of the United States of America and our elected representatives; local, state and federal.
P.S. Considering the likelihood of that happening, please put more money into this long shot of finding someone else in the universe to fix our problems, by funding or helping this other related projects.
