I felt obligated to check out some of the other useless IMDB facts, and a lot of them could have made this movie a lot different. Albeit I don’t necessarily think that Keanu Reeves is a ground breaking actor, but I think the cast they ended up with for the final product had the right chemistry. (Not including the sequels)

Tom Cruise, Ewan McGregor, Nicholas Cage, Johnny Depp, and Will Smith were slated ahead of Keanu Reeves for the role of Neo. (Fresh Prince of Wachowski?)

Jean Reno as Agent Smith could have been bad ass (as long as he got to keep his role from Leon)

Sean Connery as Morpheus.
