I forget his name but some New York politician told O’Malley its Queens or nothing. O’Malley owned the Brooklyn Dodgers not the Queens Dodgers. He wanted to stay in Brooklyn. When New York didn’t want to cooperate, Los Angeles was more than eager to offer Chavez Ravine to O’Malley. O’Malley knew that MLB wouldn’t approve the Dodgers moving on there own so he convinced the Giants owner, whatever the hell his name is, to move over with him. O’Malley opened up the country to baseball. That’s why he’s in the Hall of Fame and it was a shame that it took this long.
