I honestly get most of my news from Stewart and Colbert and I consider myself well-informed without having to endure the 24-hour news channel bullshit. The big news giants have just gotten too full of themselves with their “serious” news coverage. Stewart and Colbert, however, know how important it is to laugh at themselves once in a while to keep things honest. Occasionally they throw out a lame dildo joke, but I give them credit for the otherwise awesomely entertaining shows they put together. Also, how can someone call the Daily Show not a form of journalism when a fair number of guests they have on the show are authors, politicians, and scholars that have very informative conversations with Jon? The bottom line for me is that in most cases, the easiest way to present the truth is through clever comedy.
