I hope I’m not the only one who doesn’t see what the big deal is. They referred him to their insurance carrier… that’s the same thing anyone would do. Think about it… when you damage someone’s car in an accident… do you offer to reimburse them for all the damages… or do you refer them to your insurance carrier?
You can’t just look at everything a corporation does and say it’s because their evil. Yeah they totally fucked up the guys car and that makes them really fucking stupid, but they’re not doing anything illegal and they’re not doing anything wrong by referring the guy to their insurance carrier. They reimbursed the guy for the equipment they were supposed to install, and it’s the carrier’s responsibility to pay for the damages the installation people caused, not the store’s.
