I know Kevin personally.

He is many things. Crazy? Sure. Reckless? You bet. Stupid? Not so much. He’s quite intelligent, actually. His actions here, however, were blatantly dumb. I don’t think many people would question the fact that there is no excuse for engaging in such a dangerous act during a tropical storm. But does that negate any compassion we should have for his condition now?

I can assure you that he has no interest in your sympathy and is well aware of the consequences of his actions. But I would hope people could at the very least offer empathy and RESPECT to his friends, families, and loved ones that are worried sick about him and hope he recovers soon.

Humanity fails me sometimes…
