I REALLY enjoyed this movie, actually. The movie is far deeper than you realize. I read a huge interpretation a guy gave on imdb forums about it. How the evil guy (his name eludes me) represents death, and how we all care about the guy with the money, but why do we? He’s almost just as bad as Mr. Death, taking greed over concern for his wife. His sudden death comes to a surprise, but really shouldn’t. Set up that way allows the viewer to potentially find the hidden meaning. Tommy Lee represents an older generation with drilled in principles from the past, but on a new playing ground where those approaches don’t apply. Hopefully I’m recollecting this interpretation right, IMDB doesn’t have the post anymore.
Also undeniably for me, the best villain I’ve ever seen. He’s more real than the Joker, which is scary.
