I think the point is that there was so much propaganda and fear mongering thrown around against second hand smoke that it would cause people just seeing someone smoking in a public place to start coughing uncontrollably. So much legislation was passed based upon this period of hysteria. Those same people hopping into their SUV’s on their way home. All our bars and restaurants are smoke free now. I wonder how long this will take to become public knowledge, and when people will start uncontrollably coughing every time an SUV goes by. Haha. I just find it funny.
