I worked for Apple as a “supervisor” or a tier 2 agent, the techs were just following procedures and we cannot just blindly replace a product without having the engineers approval first when it comes to a safety issue. Although we can replace them just based on good faith and customer service which is what probably should have been done in this case.

Although classic Apple customer, I want it now, whaa whaa, give me the world. God help you if you have to live a few days without your iPod Nano.
