I’ll play the coffee timeline game:
Age 8 - Would drink the black swill my aunt left simmering all day, when I was visiting my cousins. Never drank coffee otherwise in childhood, but when I visited her it was just the thing to do.
Age 14-18 - drank coffee intermittently. mostly stupid foo-foo mocha bullshit drinks on dates
Age 18-23 - drank coffee when I was tired… at the time didn’t really know what tired was.
Age 24 - find myself working three jobs, including a graveyard shift that falls in such a way that I don’t sleep on days that sound like Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I’m getting a handle on this tired thing. I drink coffee like water.
From then until the present… it’s been coffee this and coffee that… french presses, rebuilding espresso machines… anything for the sweet sweet caffeine.
