I’m not impressed with the CBC or CTVGlobemedia on this

I’m not impressed with the CBC or CTVGlobemedia on this. Personally I think that it would have made more sense if the CBC had announced the retirement of it during the regular season and start marketing the contest. When I initially heard they had lost/thinking of dropping it I thought: “How could they?” But now I’m over it.

I think that CTV should have let alone. Its association with HNIC, hockey, the CBC etc was powerful and will likely be perpetually disconnected from the event. Slapping it on any sports event is not a celebration or marketing is is picking up a pissed-on designer dress and calling yourself a model.
