I’m not predicting that will actually happen, but if it’s all being bought at exorbitant prices only a select few can pay then no I don’t see competition bringing prices down at all.
It’s a ridiculously extreme example for sure, I just have a big distrust for market forces taking care of everyone - I think they can (and do) do lots of good, but I don’t believe it is a perfect autonomous system that needs no intervention whatsoever.

The Gov’t should not be trusted, I only consider it one step better because at least most of the time there is a specific ’system’ or set of rules to be followed. At least I think it used to be like that at one time.
