I’m pretty sure they were a bit more involved with that turkey’s life than only deciding if it should live or die. I’m quite sure they organized the breeding program that brought him in to existence, fostered the young turkey to maturity, assuredly in a cramped cage like the one shown in the video, and finally decided to kill it so it will land on our plates this Thanksgiving. I believe if they weren’t involved, that turkey wouldn’t have ever had the opportunity to live or die. But meat sure is tasty.
I’m pretty sure the OP was commenting more on the poor taste for the background for interviewing a political candidate and not on turkey slaughter itself.
