In Texas, if you KNOW you are innocent of a crime, you can shoot the police who try to arrest you. That is the TRUE meaning of the Second Amendment. The government should fear honest citizens, not vice-versa. It makes them much more careful about pushing people around.

Just this week I was glad I was armed. I went to a grocery store at 3 am to get some painkillers for a sprained ankle. When I came out, there was a guy loitering near my car who just radiated menace. He took one look at the pistol on my hip and quickly strolled off. There’s no doubt I prevented a crime — against me — that night.
