Its insane to think that the US is perfectly willing to spend 10 billion a month on Iraq, but it won’t provide basic health care to its citizens.
Why the f*ck should health care be a profitable industry? That’s the reason that insurance companies are the most evil bastards in the universe.
The good thing about government, is that it can run a program in which the primary goal is not profit, but public benefit. Its what everybody else does. Maybe the systems in Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United Kingdom aren’t perfect, but how many people in those countries would ditch their health system for private insurance now?
