It’s true that Yahtzee didn’t say a thing about the real gameplay or playing with a friend. He’s also way off base thinking that button mashing is effective.
However, this is all irrelevant. He doesn’t an excellent job at pointing out a serious flaw with what the Soul Calibur series has become. They are simply taking the same old game and repackaging it. The last minute inclusion of Darth Vader is laughable. It’s as if everyone knows the developers are milking this for all it’s worth, so they might as well be open about it now. It looks like Soul Calibur 2 will always be the best one of the series.
