@LucasJ218 I think you better hook a VCR back up to your TV, because the difference between VHS and DVD is a lot better than you think it is. Not just in picture quality, but how about convenience. You actually had to fast forward and rewind a tape, not a DVD. You have something there with sound, but I don’t think most people will even take advantage of it. I’m not so sure the difference between DVD and Blu-ray is quite as good as VHS to DVD, especially with upconverting DVD players. I’d say price has a lot to do with it as well. Who honestly wants to pay $40 for a movie that they can get for half that on DVD when we are accustom to watching stuff on youtube or hulu? I do buy blu-ray movies, but only when I get a deal on them, I refuse to pay $40 for a movie when my PS3 upscales DVDs to my 720p TV just fine. Maybe when I upgrade to a 1080p set I’ll change my mind, but right now it’s just not worth it most of the time.
