Movies don’t ‘get developed’ for one platform or another, they get distributed through all kinds of medium but very rarely need major adaptation for one channel or another! Games have to be specifically made for one console or the other or both - so its a case of MS/Sony making an in house game then coding it all again to work on a competitors machine and loosing the exclusive (read ‘effort put into making it less valuable to the company’) - and Sony backing a film, owning the rights of distribution, then making an effort to stop a certain channel distributing the movie (read ‘effort put in to making it less valuable to the company’) simply because MS got in there first with netflix - plus a real apples to apples here is Sony pushing studios into backing BD exclusively when HD was available as well, in both cases Sony is screwing with the consumer to increase profits and grow as an evil empire hell bent on world domination (they tried with MiniDisc and failed) :)
