Well, okay if you have FIOS you can get TV channels from Verizon, and if you want to go to the trouble of installing a dish and dealing with the problems of satellite service, there are other choices.
But if you don’t like Comcast, it’s not like you can call up Cox and get cable service from them. Whatever cable company your county or city gave the contract to is your only choice.
It is a good thing that FIOS is offering an alternative, but unfortunately this is a company rooted in the old telco monopolies. So how much of an improvement is it? I haven’t seen any downward price pressures on my cable service.
