No such thing as the 10 commandments?
And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. -Deuteronomy 4:13
Behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YAHWEH:
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YAHWEH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their MightyOne, and they shall be my people. -Jeremiah 31:31-33
The writer of Hebrews understood the importance of the covenant apart from the additions which were added at Sinai (Gal 3:19). Paul says that the law was a ’schoolmaster to bring Israelites to Messiah, and once arrived, are no longer under that law (Gal 3:24-25). So there is a distinction between the things which are spiritual and the things which are carnal, the law of the covenant, i.e. the 10 commandments, are spiritual, therefore age-abiding/eternal (2Cor 4:7). Therefore the law is holy, just, and good (Rom 7:12).
