No, what’s sad is that you reveal a lot about yourself and your own methods of “digesting” news from TV. You obviously just take it in as the straight dope from whatever channel is giving it to you, relying on them to explain it to you and tell you the context.
The reason so many 20 somethings, like myself, like it is because we already know the story and the context. We follow the news on the internet and the TV news channels and whatever other sources we find. We go to the Daily Show for humor and satire. It’s already been pointed out many times, but you can’t just turn on the Daily Show and find it funny. You gotta know what’s going on it the world. Jon Stewart just does an excellent job of pointing out how absurd these things are. So disparage it all you want, but you are the one who is out of touch.
