Not quite true. It takes more than monitor support, which goes back to my original point: expensive video cards. The comment above (by BrandonMills) says that “the right hardware costs $125 now. (9600 GT)”. I’ll concede that within the vid card market, this card is s good deal, but try running COD4 at higher than HD resolutions on that card.. or even just plain HD resolutions. You will NOT get smooth gameplay. I have the 8800 GTS (3.0 GHz C2D and 2 GB RAM) and the recommended resolution for my setup is 1024×768. I realize this is not an exotic top-of-the line card, but it’s not old and it wasn’t cheap. No one with a $1500 gaming machine is getting good frame rates at >HD resolutions, period.
