occasionally we’ve managed to get together and redigg the buried comments back into visibility, but we shouldnt have to. this would be easily fixable by simply m aking it so you could not bury more than a certain number of comments in a certain time span.

digg staffers refuse to do this, and to take other steps to remove the corrupt shout system that keeps the front page filled with articles that dugg up by friends of the submitters, rather than diggers who think the article is good. occasionally we get an article that people honestly dugg up but most of the top submitters use the shout/friend system to get their articles dugg up , bypassing everything digg is meant to do.
