Oddly if I do a search for XBMC and Torrent I find plenty of sites that do not call for an IRC hunt to get into it. Installing on XBOX is like installing new - except you CAN move over the data files and not have to rescan media. On Linux it’s all pretty much done for you - I update nightly and sometimes more often than that without any issues….
Do not know how long it’s been in development for Linux, do not care. The software is pretty damned awesome and has now been ported to several other platforms as a result…
