Great rant, but it has many flaws. I’ll point out one major one that made me laugh because it was so poor.

Aside from sounding like a jackass, I’m very happy you know the intricacies of ‘war speak’ and the subtleties of linguistics. Good for you.

The bottom line: McCain declared many times “we won, victory, mission accomplished…..etc..” and in many many different ways. He did not qualify his statement as you state. We all know what he meant and he was very very clear. He meant “it” (the war) was over, period - and our boys and girls will be coming home very soon. But he was dead wrong, as he usually is.

Your apologetic rhetoric does not change that fact, no matter how you want to spin it.

As far as the surge, millions fled the country, so statistically the killing is down. If you make everyone leave, well that happens. And we have more people there then pre-surge levels. That was another goal of the surge that was promised and did not happen.

So many lies and misunderstanding of the facts, and it boggles my mind that people like you eat it up and make up apologies for it.
