OrangeDerange, I know it`s a bit annoying to receive a shout more than once, but this is just the way it works, otherwise digg would not have implemented this feature from the start, shouting once it`s what usual people do, the second shout might be by mistake, of not knowing and keeping track of the exact friends you have already shouted to. I have friends in my list that shout one story 10 times, and those will be removed if that is repeated. Now speaking of the shouting feature, everyone is free to use it, as many times as they want, but just not get rude. We can`t be speaking of being ’slaves’ , no one is a slave here and I found really great people in Digg`s community, so we have to treat everyone the same and respect each other no matter what. If anyone is bothering you, you are just free to remove that one friend from your list, as I have seen you have removed me already, it`s your choice to do whatever you want to be doing, but this is not the way to do it at all. Without any friends on Digg there isn`t much to be done anyway, so favors have to be returned no matter what, and with that being said from this very day I am removing all mutual friends that just don`t want to digg my stories, it`s my choice and I hope everyone is ok with it, and will respect my decision. Some of us are very active in the community and just because of us it happens that the best stories are pushed to the front page, don`t we deserve a little something for that? I have written this article more for the newbies on Digg that just don`t understand the things work, and not for the active users. I know there are people around Digg that are here just to promote their own stuff and nothing else, and I am ok with it, it`s up to Digg and their alg. to decide if that story makes the homepage or not. I have been more active here for the past 2 months and already heard a lot of people make a story to the homepage, which is a very pleasant thing to happen, and that one story gets removed in just 10 minutes. Those stories are either, highly promoted stuff or just junk that should not be on the front anyways. Hope everyone agrees on my points of view and everyone is free to add me to their friend list if they want so. “I digg friends stuff, and things that I consider interesting” nothing else.
