Picking the “wrong” one invalidated the test and the user could move on. Its not like anyone (without prior knowledge of the game) could KNOW that picking a square would be wrong. Not everyone can be mind readers. Its like schrodinger’s cat. You have to inspect the answer to find out if its a dead cat or not (it was). Plus, since its an idiot test, you would think that the person who presented the test would not be an idiot as only a non-idiot could accurately judge whether one is an idiot, or at the very least… not make any mistakes so that years later he doesn’t get flamed on a digg thread. Judge all of your actions by what the digg community will say….
