Probably someone who was swayed by the Traci Lords argument. Traci Lords performed in pornographic movies between the ages of 15 and 17. She promptly retired from pornography once she became legal, letting everyone in on the little secret. Everyone was stunned, but nobody went to jail as far as I know. Why? She had a bonafide California drivers license stating she was of age. How did she get that license? She presented a fake passport stating she was of age. So if the state of California can be fooled by a fake ID, why not a strip club owner. Now, that is just an argument for the law.
According to the article, this is the second time an underage girl has danced at that club /that we know off/. I imagine more have done so and that the club is know for it to a specific group of clientèle. And as the stripper who introduced this girl to the club is also facing prostitution charges, there was probably some Thailand love going on as well. Will the law be changed? I do not know, but I will not be moving to Dallas to raise my kids.
