Problem is the scale isn’t linear
Problem is the scale isn’t linear. Overall market share doesn’t matter–it’s where the artists are that matters. We already know OSX was once the leader in the design industry. Is it still today? (I don’t know.) I know it’s quite prolific among designers, though, regardless, so if 90% of the Apple audience uses Adobe products (legally), but only 2% of the Windows audience uses Adobe products (legally), then the Apple market share is much greater, therefore more valuable.
Point is, how many Linux users would pay for the Adobe suite? What would happen if you put an artist in front of Linux?
